Name: Sleeping bag
Price Range: $50 - $350
Description: For winter climbing at Mt. Rainier, a down bag (or synthetic-filled) rated between 0 and 20 degrees Fahrenheit will suffice. For summer, a synthetic-filled bag which is rated between 20 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit is best. If you get a down bag wet, it is practically useless. Notice the compression stuff sacks that are sitting beside my bag. These can be used to scrunch most everything into a smaller space for packing. Also, there is a storage bag above the sleeping bag. Use the storage bag (which allows the sleeping bag to fluff a little) anytime you are planning to store the bag for a long period of time.
